Music World Gospel to release Elder Goldwire McLendon’s debut project, April 24

Houston’s Music World Gospel recording artist and BET’s Sunday Best’s Season 3 first runner-up will release his debut solo CD project, The Best of Elder Goldwire McLendon on April 24, 2012. At 81 years old, McLendon is the oldest American contemporary solo artist signed to a record deal.

On the project, he performs a soulful rendition of “The Battle Is The Lord’s,” putting his own stamp on a signature song of gospel great Yolanda Adams, which was written by V. Michael McKay.

The project will be available online and at national retailers.

Le’Andria Johnson releases new project, Feb. 14

Le’Andria Johnson has been creating a large amount of buzz the past few months. She has had many high profile performances recently, such as on the Stellar Awards and TBN, along with a guest appearance on James Fortune & FIYA’s new chart topping release “Identity.”

Now, Music World is releasing “Evolution of Le’Andria Johnson.” It consists of seven songs, some were arranged/produced by R&B star Raphael Saadiq and gospel star Eric Dawkins. It is available on Amazon.com, Feb. 14 nationwide.

Le’Andria Johnson wins GRAMMY Award for ‘Jesus’

Le’Andria Johnson has won a GRAMMY Award for her performance on ‘Jesus,’ the lead single from her debut album The Awakening of Le’Andria Johnson.

The Houston-based MusicWorld Gospel recording artist won BET’s Sunday Best gospel music talent competition in 2010. Her album debuted at number one on the Billboard Gospel Chart in 2011.

Brian Courtney Wilson’s ‘So Proud’ stirs the airwaves

Houston artist Brian Courtney Wilson has released ‘So Proud’ to much buzz this week following a promotional tour around the country. The album is his second release on the Music World Gospel label. It follows the successful ‘Just Love’ which produced hits, ‘Already Here’ and ‘All I Need.’  The new project is available in national retailers and online.
