Music World Gospel has released the BET Sunday Best’s Andrea Helms’ new project, Moving Forward. There are background vocals (BGVs) on the project featuring Houston’s Carnel Davis Jr. & ITP.

Le’Andria Johnson has been creating a large amount of buzz the past few months. She has had many high profile performances recently, such as on the Stellar Awards and TBN, along with a guest appearance on James Fortune & FIYA’s new chart topping release “Identity.”
Now, Music World is releasing “Evolution of Le’Andria Johnson.” It consists of seven songs, some were arranged/produced by R&B star Raphael Saadiq and gospel star Eric Dawkins. It is available for pre-order on Amazon.com, but will be released Feb. 14 nationwide.

Mathew Knowles, founder, President and CEO of Music World Entertainment (Music World Gospel), will resume his signature course, The Recording Industry, during the Spring 2012 semester at the Texas Southern University School of Communication. The course begins on January 23 and will meet weekly TSU.

Houston-based Matthew Knowles’ Music World Entertainment is reportedly blacklisted by media giant, Radio One.
Eurweb.com reports that Knowles was involved in a lawsuit with Radio One regarding their license of Essence Music Festival programming. Knowles allegedly re-issued the content to BET, MTV & Centric Network, eventhough the locense was exclusive to Radio One’s TV One.
EURweb.com reports that Radio One owner Cathy Hughes has pulled all music associated with Matthew Knowles’ Music World Entertainment from their stations.
Radio One owns 52 stations in 15 U.S. cities. They syndicate the Yolanda Adams Morning Show and also have majority ownership of Reach Media, operator of the Tom Joyner Morning Show.
Artists currently on the Music World Gospel label include Juanita Bynum, Trin-I-Tee 5:7, Brian Courtney Wilson, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Micah Stampley and BET’s “Sunday Best” winners Le’Andria Johnson and Amber Bullock.

Houston native Kim Burrell is nominated for a GRAMMY Award, music’s highest honor. Her album “The Love Album” received a nomination for “Best Gospel Album,” along with Music World Gospel’s Trin-I-Tee 5:7 for “Angel & Chanelle Deluxe Edition.” New Houston resident and labelmate LeAndria Johnson is nominated for “Best Gospel/Christian Performance” for the single “Jesus.”
The 54th Annual GRAMMY Awards will be held on Feb. 12, 2012, at Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA on CBS from 8–11:30 p.m. (ET/PT).
