5 reasons why you should go to the The Kings Men Tour, Houston shows up

The Kings Men Tour stopped in Houston last night to much much fanfare. The crowd began filling the Reliant Arena an hour before it began despite the $49 & $59 ticket cost. Kirk Franklin, Marvin Sapp, Israel Houghton and Donnie McKlurkin performed sets that included their greatest hits and current tunes. Kirk Franklin had a major spot during the concert with sets that chronicled his large catalog of hits.

Here are five major reasons why you should go to this event.

5. The background singers. The background singers. THE BACKGROUND SINGERS. With artists like Amber Bullock (BET Sunday Best), Nikki Ross and Isaac Caree singing backup, you are sure to have a great musical experience. There are multiple “wow” moments during the concert that feature the background singers.

4. Live Nation, the tour’s promoter, is not known for supporting gospel music. Support of this event can pave the way for other tours in the future.

3. Kirk Franklin‘s dancing. During the concert, you will be entertained by his dance moves. They are very interesting and keep the show energetic.

2. Three hours of music. The concert was so exhaustive, you were tired but it was so good that you wanted more. You will get your money’s worth.

1. Fellowship and worship. At events like this you are able to praise & worship with people that you do not know. It’s always good to be on one accord and interact with other believers in a corporate setting, but outside of your normal Sunday worship space.

During the concert, every artist gave their best performance. They all hit the highest notes and offered the best runs they could. This could also be because of Houston gospel community’s showing at the event. You can’t come to Houston playing when you have Kathy Taylor & the Windsor Village Choir (who also opened the concert), V. Michael McKay, The Walls Group, New Breed, James & Cheryl Fortune, Shawn & Rhonda McLemore and Brian Courtney Wilson sitting in the audience.

This should be turned into a concert dvd, but it’s not (as of press time). The Final Word. Support this event.
