Joshua Webb death, St. Louis News report

Joshua Webb, 27, a St. Louis-bred *musician who played on Ledisi’s Grammy-nominated “Pieces of Me” album, died Wednesday in a car accident on an Atlanta highway.

According to Webb’s cousin and budding singer Broderick Young, of St. Louis, Webb and another cousin were driving in rainy weather making arrangements to pick up Webb’s new vehicle when they hit a tractor trailer.

Webb was not wearing a seat belt and died at the scene; his cousin suffered a broken leg and spinal cord injury.

Webb is credited with playing piano on Ledisi’s album on the song “Bravo,” and organs on the song “Shine.”
