BET Sunday Best premieres to a record two million viewers

Houston’s Yolanda Adams and Kim Burrell have caused a large amount of chatter online the past few weeks in regards to their performances on BET Sunday Best. The entertaining and sometimes outspoken versions of the judges have contributed to an increase in ratings this season.

Last year’s premiere scored 1.8 million viewers, while this year’s broadcast held 2.05 million viewers, a record for the show.

This makes Sunday Best the highest rated music competition telecast on cable television.
