Shei Atkins exits gospel music; set to release an R&B album

Houston artist Shei Atkins has said “goodbye” to gospel music in a lengthy letter on dasouth.com. In the letter, she attributes her exit to “the mentality a lot of Christians have about music.”

Atkins plans to release her r&b album, “Emotional,” this year.
