Yolanda Adams is returning to judge BET’s Sunday Best gospel talent competition this year, along with Kirk Franklin, Donnie McClurkin and panel newcomer CeCe Winans. Mary Mary will not be returning. They have a new reality show debuting on WEtv this year.

The annual BET Celebration of Gospel television special showcases some of the best in gospel music annually.  On April 1, 2012 at 8pm CST, the show will feature some of Houston’s best gospel artists.

Yolanda Adams, Le’Andria Johnson, Zacardi Cortez and James Fortune & FIYA will all perform during the show. It will also feature Houston native Jennifer Holliday. Steve Harvey is continuing his hosting duties this year.

Mentor for BET Sunday Best Season 4, Kim Burrell opens up about the show’s contestants and what she expects from the next winner of the gospel talent competition.

Yolanda Adams will be among performers at the ”Fourth Annual BET Honors” on Saturday, January 15. It premiers Monday, February 21 at 9:00 p.m.

Acclaimed actress Gabrielle Union hosts the show for a third year, honoring legendary actress Cicely Tyson (Theatrical Arts), Oscar award-winning actor/musician and comedian Jamie Foxx (Entertainer), supermodel/entrepreneur Iman (Service), publishing mogul Linda Johnson Rice (Media), world renowned musician/composer Herbie Hancock (Musical Arts) and accomplished historian/educator Lonnie G. Bunch (Education).

The performances will also include Trey Songz, Ne-yo, Lalah Hathaway, Keyshia Cole, Guy, Tank, Angelique Kidjo, Naturally 7, Chick Corea Quartet and the Cicely L. Tyson Concert Choir. Some of the first presenters confirmed are Tyler Perry, Cedric the Entertainer, Anika Noni Rose, Hill Harper, Jimmie Jam and Noah Gray Cabey.

Proceeds from this year’s BET HONORS  private ticket sales will be given to the Washington, D.C. Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial Project Foundation, Inc.
