Cheryl Johnson Drain is memorialized by past choir members and the gospel community

The Houston community is mourning the passing of Cheryl Johnson Drain. Her tireless work with choirs, students in HISD (founding the Westbury High School Gospel Choir), serving as the youth choir director at Lilly Grove Missionary Baptist Church, and as New Faith Church‘s Children’s Director had a great impact on many. Past students and those who she impacted memorialized her online. Her family and friends said their last goodbyes at her homegoing celebration on June 2, along with a Westbury High School Gospel Reunion Choir.
