Houston gospel singer Derrick Leon passes away

Derrick Leon, worship leader, singer/songwriter reportedly passed away this week. He served as a worship leader at Windsor Village United Methodist Church as well as a member of Kathy Taylor’s group Favor. Friends and family outpoured condolences after learning of his passing.

His latest project, “Your Blood Was Enough” is described in his biography as being “birthed through his desire to convey the message of Jesus’ mighty and selfless act of the shedding of His blood for our sins.” Funeral arrangements are not finalized as of press time.
