I want y’all to see and know my family and friends who helped my first ever music video special. Some of them came through for me in the 11th hour – literally, I reached out to one about 3 hours before the video shoot. Some drove from way across the city (that’s a big thing in Houston), some were accosted by two random dogs, ALL of them inconvenienced themselves on a work day just for me. I LOVE THESE PEOPLE! @ckepney628 is my real-life cousin, but I consider @ericaekayking, @thtsorae, @kaipeirawrrr and @e_rock01 to be family as well. Everyone came in ready to get it done, but with the right amount of foolery to ease any tension. Also, they can all sing their butts off and would make a stellar background vocal crew if you need one. None of this would be possible without the lady in the middle, my beautiful wife Nicole. She wasn’t in the video and she’s not on IG, but she’s my number ONE and I’m so proud that she got to see the words of her prayers come to life. Before I get on your nerves with unending promo for my latest single, “All Good,” I want to publicly thank and acknowledge my talented friends who took this song from an idea to a statement. Once I made a demo of the song, I sent the idea to @thtsorae for her thoughts – and she sent back a background vocal arrangement within an hour! She’s one of the most brilliant musical minds I’ve ever encountered. My bro @alvinius not only assists me with recording and editing, but is a trusted voice of direction and clarity which I desperately needed through this entire process. Once we decided on the song being piano-featured, I reached out to my FAVORITE pianist, my sis @carolydian. This collaboration was 24 years in the making! She’s been my big sis since college, and this song needed her touch to it. The young legend @hippomeatproductions added a string arrangement that jointly fit the message of this song together. I knew that I could trust @isaacdoriajr to mix these elements together the right way. His dedication to achieving the right sound is something that I appreciate greatly. Add the Grammy award-winning mastering touch of @omegamastering and the sound of “All Good” is complete! Packaging is as important as the product, and I’m so grateful for the artistic vision of @rubenvaldezdesign and @jonnewcomb. From the photo shoot to the artwork, with a special touch from @tmbrandt_00, these men took the presentation of #AllGood to a higher level.
