Why you no longer see Wheeler Avenue videos on MyHoustonGOSPEL.com
We’ve shared videos for a decade from Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church, garnering millions of views that led to the purchase of music, products, service attendance and exposure worldwide. We received a copyright claim through their social media specialist Alicia Neto, June 2019. The claim shut down two channels owned by B McCoy Productions (one of which had no matching content) due to monetization, which is standard for content sharing news media organizations. Three strikes close an account. Over 10 were submitted to YouTube.
Being a YouTube partner and Google for Media affiliate, we contacted YouTube legal and they determined that no infringement occured.
Eventhough the request went against digital best practices and the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, we agreed to remove the videos. There are great moments on their Facebook account. If you want to view or purchase full sermons, go to wheelerbc.org.
