James Fortune exits ‘Higher D’ with 10 ‘Stellar’ nods

On the heels of ending 5-years as Minister of Music of the fastly-growing Higher Dimension Church in Houston, TX , James Fortune & FIYA received 10 Stellar Award nominations.  Fortune and his group Fiya were nominated for: Artist of the Year Song of the Year, CD of the Year, Producer of the Year, Contemporary CD of the Year, Group/Duo of the Year, Praise and Worship CD of the Year, Contemporary Male Vocalist of the Year, Urban Inspirational Performance of the Year and Contemporary Group/Duo of the Year .

Fortune is signed to Black Smoke Music Worldwide, they recently released the hit single “I Believe,” featuring  Zacardi Cortez and Shawn McLemore. It has been on top of the Billboard Gospel Charts for weeks.

The 26th Annual Stellar Awards will be held on January 15, 2011 at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, TN.  The show will air January 22, 2011- March 13, 2011 in national syndication.
